Business exodus, massive traffic congestion, ageing population, social, ethnic and cultural areas of conflict – all these factors prompted urban planners, at the end of the 1990s, to restructure the district of Lehen. The ingrained image of Lehen as a fringe area is under transformation; it is to become a modern urban district. This walk aims to discover the diverse facets of Lehen, to trace its vicissitudes through past and present, exploring its discrepancies and occasionally squinting aside.
