In her photographs, objects, installations and performances, Ines Doujak explores the construction and roles of stereotypes in relation to gender roles and racism. In her solo exhibition Dirty Old Women (2005) in the Salzburg Kunstverein - part of a long-term project including workshops, performances and exhibitions - she focused on the significance, representation and experiences of old women within our society. documenta 12 showed her work Victory Gardens, a huge flower-bed raised on wooden supports, sprouting packets of seeds bearing messages about biopiracy.
