"The instinct to repair a defect is inherent to all living organisms and to all cultures“, Kader Attia says. He considers history as a continuum of repeated repairs and appropriation of what already exists. If you like to learn more about his theory of repair and how to connect it to your artistic practice, apply now for his course "Repair", taking place from 4 to 9 August.
Recently the Berlin Akademie der Künste has awarded the Berlin Art Prize for fine arts to Kader Attia. The prize-giving will take place on 18 March 2014 in Berlin. Attia's work is currently on view until 31 March at the Marrakech Biennale and until 23 November at the Whitechapel Gallery in London, beside others.
