Tobias Zielony

"Juveniles mostly seek out utterly mundane, interchangeable places. But what produces these similarities? Is it the locations? Is it a certain attitude towards life or the social circumstances these kids live in? Or is it the things they consume: the music, the films, or the clothes they buy?" Tobias Zielony was often concerned with these questions when shooting his photographs. In his course "Youth", taking place from 18–30 August, he will focus on the media images that influence young people's everyday lives. Apply here if you are interested.
Tobias Zielony's most recent video, that he produced during a residency in Ramallah last autumn, is now on view at Museum Villa Stuck in Munich until 9 June. His works can also be seen in the Kunsthalle im Lipsiusbau in Dresden until 18 May, and from 11 May in a solo exhibition at Ursula Blickle Stiftung in Kraichtal-Unteröwisheim, Germany.
