Olga Chernysheva / Anna Jermolaewa

What is the meaning of pictures? How do we look at them and how do they function? In Olga Chernysheva and Anna Jermolaewa's course you will be "in search for the image". This course takes place from 21 July to 2 August 2014 in special cooperation with Anders Kreuger's curatorial course. So you will also learn about the curatorial point of view in theoretical thinking about image production, and benefit from mutual inspiration. Apply here to participate.
If you happen to be in Hamburg, you can see a new work by Olga Chernysheva in the group exhibition "Photographing the future" at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, opening tonight at 7 p.m. Anna Jermolaewa's works are currently on view at the 21er Haus, Vienna and at the GrazMuseum, beside others.

Sarnath Banerjee

Text and image have different functions in meaning production. But together - as in comics and graphic novels - they create meanings that neither can achieve by itself. Wanna find out about this "third meaning"? Then apply for Sarnath Banerjee's course Graphic novel, visual reportage and the third meaning, running from 4 to 16 August.
Currently living in New Delhi, graphic novelist, artist and film maker Sarnath Banerjee will give there a talk about Things in their true light this Friday. It takes place within the Speakers Corner talk programme of this year's India Art Fair.

Charlotte Cullinan

Once more Charlotte Cullinan will return to Salzburg. In her course she will consider art as "un-foreseen, boundless, fluctuant and inestimable" with the result that anything around the studio could be referred to and serves as ultimate archive for the students' production.
Opening tonight, 13 December, together with Jeanine Richards and Andrea Sassi of dispari&dispari projects, Charlotte Cullinan will present current works and finest food from Italy in the studio/shop 4COSE in London.
