We recommend the screening and book presentation of "Tsunami architecture" by Christoph Draeger and  Heidrun Holzfeind at SECESSION Vienna, Austria, on Tuesday, March 5, 7 p.m. In his course at the Summer Academy, Christoph Draeger will deal with core questions on how to combine existing materials into collages, assemblages, sculptures or installations so as to create new contentual relationship. The focus is not on the object (or image) itselft, but on what is created with it. Thus context becomes the determining factor. Bassam El Baroni recently was appointed curator of the  36th eva International in 2014. For his curatorial class, taking place from 22 July to 3 August at Hohensalzburg Fortress, he decided to reread Lyotard's writings. "If Lyotard's work identified the (postmodern) condition of his times how are we to report on the knowledge of our current moment, and how can we work towards identifying the condition of our present? Moreover, what possibilities do these attempts at identification hold for the contemporary curator and the contemporary exhibition?" More info
