Olga Chernysheva

The films, photographs, paintings, drawings and object-based works of Russian artist Olga Chernysheva lyrically investigate the fabric of individuality and self-sufficiency, and meditate upon the role of the artist in a time of flux. Participants of her course, taking place at Hohensalzburg Fortress from 12 to 31 August, will work on their own artistic landscape. This may be entirely fictional, or it may contain details taken from reality. Currently, Chernysheva’s work is included in group shows at Galerie Christine König in Vienna and at Galerie Volker Diehl in Berlin, as well as in the Kochi-Muziris Biennale in India.
