Christian Philipp Müller is designated dean of the School of Art and Design Kassel. At this year's summer academy he is directing the class "Acts with objects in urban space, performance and sculpture" from August 8 to August 26.

International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts

The fourteenth annual PHotoEspaña Festival of Photography and Visual Arts will be held in Madrid starting on June 1 through July 24, 2011. The Official Selection of PHotoEspaña 2011 is dedicated to the theme "Interfaces: Portraiture and Communication," chosen by lead curator Gerardo Mosquera.

On July 30, 2011, Mosquera will give a lecture in our symposium "Global Art".

Jo Ractliffe's book "As Terras do Fim do Mundo / The Lands of the End of the World", 2010 was nominated by David Goldblatt as the best photobook of the previous year for the International Photobook Award 2011. On this occasion she will give a lecture on Saturday, 4 June 2011, at 5 p.m.

At the 2011 Summer Academy Jo Ractliffe is directing the class "Evoking the real: exploring the expressive in documentary photography" from 8 to 27 August 2011 in the Alte Saline Hallein. If you are interested, it is still possible to apply for her class!
