Even though Elfie Semotan is a well known, international working and very public photographer, seeing her artwork is not something common. That's what Margit Zuckriegl tried to convey the visitors when she described Semotan as
"Phantom of the Photo-scene" in her speech. But actually there was no need to tell, how special it is to have such a great artist here in Salzburg. People knew anyway and many art interested people came and took the chance to see the exhibition. Elfie Semotan herself couldn't even pass her own exhibition because she was surrounded by a bunch of, reporters, art interested students, friends and fans.
The pictures shown at Rupertinum originated within a period of twenty years and as she only portrayed her close friends the exhibition seemed to have a very personal and intimate note...
