Nora Schultz, born in Frankfurt am Main (DE) in 1975, lives in Berlin and New York (US). She studied Fine Arts at the Städelschule in Frankfurt from 1998 to 2005. She works in sculpture, installation, photography and performance, shaping her material into abstract sculptures which are also protagonists in her performances. The printing machines and presses (most of which she developed herself) which she uses for her arrangements remain part of the installation. Recently, she has often worked with an imaginary partner – a parrot, a worm, tripods or a camera, which in the process contribute to developing the installation according to their own parameters.
